CULMEN INTERNATIONAL AWARDED 2025 GOVCON PROGRAM OF THE YEAR

Alexandria, VA — November 13, 2025— Culmen International is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2025 Government Contractor Program of the Year by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (NVC) and the Professional Services Council (PSC). The award was presented at the 23rd Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards® on November 5th, recognizing Culmen’s exceptional performance and lasting impact in global program delivery.
The award recognizes Culmen’s project under contract to the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to rebuild bombed out schools in Kharkiv, Ukraine, an initiative carried out in partnership with local subcontractor Zhytlobud and an inspiring all-female construction team. Amid ongoing conflict, limited resources, and men deployed to the front line, these women were determined to rebuild their community, learning trades on the job, from plastering to installing windows. Culmen’s Project Manager, Brian McCracken, worked side-by-side with the Ukrainians, navigating supply chain obstacles to source critical materials in a location close to the front line with routine bombing nearby. The Ukrainian women’s resilience and willingness to step into roles traditionally dominated by men became a symbol of hope for Kharkiv.

The award was one of ten categories presented during the gala, attended by nearly 1,000 leaders from across the government contracting community.
