  • Key Enterprise Problems are the critical issues your organization must overcome to achieve their strategic goals. Key Enterprise Problems arise from competitors, structural factors in the environment, or a combination of both.   

  • Dimensions provide a framework for a holistic view of your organization and are comprised of the groupings of related organizational capabilities, activities, and outputs vital to achieving objectives. Dimensions vary by organization and might include human resources, logistics, sustainment, and modernization. 

  • Obstacles are specific problems or deficiencies in one or more of the Strategic Resourcing dimensions that generate risk and impair your organization’s ability to achieve its strategic goals. Obstacles may include critical vulnerabilities, single points of failures, critical gaps, or other issues. 

  • Mitigations refer to an action that, if implemented, resolves or diminishes the challenge or reduces the associated risk, thereby addressing your Key Enterprise Problems and helping your organization achieve its strategic goals.
